Clients Buying A Home/ Clients Buying A Homesite


Good morning! Yes, it is another sunny day! I started my day with a 6 mile run at 5am! This early morning run gives me the burst of energy that I hear one can get from the caffeine in coffee. Today is going to be a great day!

I wanted to talk about the current buyers I have experienced lately. It gives you a pulse of the market and that pulse is picking up. Recently I have been receiving phone calls and emails from clients who I have been working with for the past one or two years. Most of them halted the search for a home or home site due to the unstable economy. Most of them told me they were just waiting for the market to show some improvement. Now they are starting to seeing our inventory decrease. They can still see the negotiating benefiting the buyers and they are wanting to take advantage of the market that currently exists. They are feeling the turn of the market and they don't want to miss the opportunities that are still available for them now. The buyers today tend be more frugal and cautious in the decision making process. The good news is that the buyers are really thinking about taking advantage of the housing market and buying now before the market rises leaving the current deals behind. Here on Daniel Island, we definitely see the market on it's way back up!

Not only are the buyers looking at homes, they are now considering home sites. Buying a home site today, differs from buying a home site yesterday. The restrictions that held them back before are now gone. The prices are somewhat negotiable, the build requirements much less binding and negotiable. This allows the buyer to purchase a home site at today's prices and still wait to build their home within their original time frame. Buyers that were standing still are now moving!
